NetFest is a mass participation netball event for those aged 18+.
Offering a choice of traditional (outdoor) and beach netball tournaments, as well as Fast5 Netball, NetFest has rapidly established itself as one of the most popular events on the netball calendar. From just 500 participants in its first year, now over 2,500 netballers travel from around Australia and New Zealand.
At each venue, there is a live site offering a range of food and beverage options, live music acts and retail stalls. Family and friends are welcome to support and enjoy the NetFest festivities free of charge!
Anyone over 18 can be a part of NetFest; you can be a social or competitive netballer, male or female, a netball newbie or an aspiring Aussie Diamond.
NetFest 2018 dates have been confirmed as 4 – 7 October. Make sure you register early as spots will fill up!
Some of netball’s biggest names will head to the Sunshine Coast for the seventh annual NetFest, from October 4 – 7, 2018!
Former Silver Fern and Sunshine Coast Lightning Laura Langman will be joined by GIANTS Netball’s Sarah Wall and Kim Green at the event. Langman, Wall and Green join the team as NETFIT Netball once again comes on board as an official partner of NetFest in 2018!
NETFIT Netball Director and 2017 NetFest special guest Sarah Wall is looking forward to returning to NetFest.
“NetFest has always been a highlight of the netball calendar year. The vibe is fantastic up at the Sunshine Coast. Everyone is in the mood for a team challenge and a good time. It’s my kind of netball,” said Wall.
Kim Green also can’t wait for the sun, sand, surf and netball NetFest offers each year.
“I love everything about NetFest. There is nothing like celebrating a year of netball in the sun, with great friends and that competitive spirit. I am looking forward to the Fast5 competition this year. Bring on those 3 pointers!”
Wall says the NETFIT team will add a little extra to NetFest, with fitness sessions and coaching tips available to all participants at no cost.
“Kim, Laura and I are looking forward to working with all the teams, bringing some new NETFIT products and maybe jumping in for the odd game if any team will have us.”
NetFest is an initiative of Netball Australia and Tourism and Events Queensland, and will run from Thursday, October 4 to Sunday, October 7, with our special guests taking to the sand in the celebrity beach match during the tournament.
Don’t miss out on the fun!
